So Halloween was a bit of a bust. We had like 15 Trick or Treaters all night. Though there was some sort of big football game going on so I guess that's why no one was out. Oh well, simple means more candy for me! :P |

So I was hoping to get a Halloween pic of my char drawn, but sadly have run out of discretionary income. I thought it would be extra cute to have a pic is some sort of costume, trick or treating or something. However the idea is still rattling around in my head. What do you think would be a good costume idea :) Discuss. Maybe next year I'll have a job and the money to get it :) |

Some of you have and some of you have not seen a Canadian TV show called Corner Gas. Those that have will know who I'm referring too. Today at the store I saw a woman who was a dead ringer for Emma Leroy. So much so that I almost asked if she was the actress who played her. I did not, and now will never know :P |

So I was sitting at a light the other day, and as is usual in my town near any freeway there was a person standing there begging for money. He was sitting in a wheel chair and holding a sign saying he was disabled and needed money.
This is not new, but I have this to say to random person on the corner of Highway 99 and Washington st. If you are sitting here in a wheel chair, asking for money, holding a sign saying you are disabled, do not be suprised that I drove away without giving you money when as I'm sitting there you turn to me, and cross your legs. |

I must say, this is the strangest cold I've ever experienced in my life. It has all the standard symptoms of a cold, but they are presenting individually. Each day I get a new one, and the one from the day before it gone. It's very strange.
Thursday - Sore Throat
Friday - Chest congestion
Saturday - Nose and throat tickle.
It wouldn't be so weird if the other symptoms hung around, but they don't. I just wake up each morning with a totally new symptom and the other seems to have mysteriously gone packing. I wonder if my aggressive treatment of it with herbal teas and the like have been killing off the symptoms before the others can manifest. |

an addendum to yesterdays post.
It not that I really minded that people mistake me for characters in games, that was more evidence of the problem. It's more that I'm not precieved on the outside the same way I feel on the inside. Short of cutting my legs off at the knees and having all of my bones shaved I'll always been a lumbering hulk when inside I feel like a kitten. Do others have this same problem? What do you do when your body type perfectly fits a certain niche, that you don't like at all, and is completely wrong for the niche that you want to be in. Will I always have to be on the outside of the group because I don't fit in?
I feel that way a lot, I go to cons and try to hang out with the groups that I want to, but never seem to be able to fit in entirely for the reasons mentioned above. It's a rather disheartening feeling. |

Just got back from RainFurrest. For the most part the con was a blast! I enjoyed seeing lots of friends again.

Babyfur party was kinda a bust. Was over crowded so i didn't stay very long. Was hot in there :(
Minor case of food poisoning on Saturday night.
Something that really upset me on Saturday night (before I got sick. Read under the cut for details)
All in all it was really good. Looking forward to next year!

Another chapter in the IM issues story. Yesterday my Trillian refused to connect to Yahoo, so I figured it had been blocked again and I had to wait for an update. I went and downloaded the actual YIM v.9 to use until the update came through, but upon getting it, suddenly trillian connected. Strange huh?
Now, every time I log in I get a message from Yahoo saying I'm using an old client and need to update. Any thoughts? |

So I recently started baking my own bread. Not only to save money but also because I got tired of products laden with chemicals. It's turning out pretty well. I started with a basic bread and moved my way up to country white bread. :)

Does anyone else have problems logging into ICQ while using Trillian? For some reason I cannot connect, but can connect fine when using ICQ's software. I'm assuming it's a trillian problem. |

Forgot to mention, the new cat is getting along well with the old cat. They are both free in the house and are no longer fighting, more or less. Occasionally he suprises the old cat and she hisses at him a bit. Here's a pic of him as he tried to eat my flowers!

Hello all!
Just a bit of an update. Still jobless, :( but I expect lots of people are in the same position as me. They're saying the unofficial unemployment rate (the estimated on that's based on more that just those who are filing) is around 23% here, so I don't really expect this to change any time soon. Still trying though as that's about all you can do. I'll just keep submitting those applications, and until then tighten the belt a little further.
Parents are coming to visit for my Birthday, which is today. Great gift huh? :P Oh well, it will be nice to see them as I haven't seen them since My aborted attempt to attend a reunion that was canceled after I already had scrounged together the money to fly there. Ah well, at least I got to see some friends and visit my dog.
In the bit of spare time I've had in between job searching and doing housework, I have built myself a spitfire model. I am quite proud of the way it came out, being the first one I've ever completed. Pics behind the cut.
Other than that, hope y'all are well.

All three of my fish died within 24 hours of each other. I took the water to have it tested and the people at the pet store said it was fine, I showed them the fish and they could find no reason why they died :(
I give up on keeping fish, I can't seem to keep the damn things alive for more than 30 days. I cleaned out the tank and put it into storage. |

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to introduce my new cat to my old cat in such a way that the old cat does not immediately attempt to claw the new one to death? I've tried putting him in a cage and letting her see him. She stops hissing and seems fine. But if I open the door to the cage she flips out. Thanks. |

Here is the picture I promised of the new kitty. His name is Remington (he came from the shelter with that name), but I think we're just gonna call him Remy. He's a high class cat, just like Remy Martin :P
