FC was great. I was so glad I got to go and really experience a con. This year being medicated and not OCD made it significantly more enjoyable. I really enjoyed hanging out with everyone there and meeting all the new people I met like Toaster Kitten, Tamino, and everyone else.
Now that I am comfortable with myself I spend the whole time cubbed out. Hanging out in the various cub rooms and just being who I am inside. The response from those who know me was overwhelmingly positive! Some of them were even surprised it took me this long to really get into it. I sorta stepped it up over a few days.

1) Thinking you know everything/ have done everything. I call these people toppers. You talk to them and no matter what you know or have done, they know/have done better. It gets really annoying.
2) Ask me for money just because we know each other tangentially. This had happens to me at cons where people spend all their money stupidly, then wonder if I can help cover them cause I know them online. Bwah?
3) Speak intelligently. I don't expect you to be a Doctor of English, but at least speak clearly and plainly.
4) Judge me without knowing me. I won't do this to you, please don't do it to me. I have many friends that are into things that I don't like, but they are still my friends because I respect them as individuals. |

1) I wish I hadn't wasted so much time before settling down and getting into college to do what I really want to do.
2) I wish I hadn't wasted so much money on eating out when cooking at home was easy and better.
3) I wish I hadn't gone to Las Vegas for the ren faire that time that it cost me my car. (car wreck)
4) I wish I hadn't wasted so much time before getting help for my OCD
5) I wish I hadn't wasted so much time trying to convince myself that I was not a cub. (though part of that was due to #4)
6) I wish I hadn't cut my finger last Monday :P |
